| Some popular destinations in PEI include...
Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital city of Prince
Edward Island, and is called "Canada's Birthplace" after the historic
1864 Charlottetown Conference which led to Confederation. It is located centrally
on the south shore of PEI, bordered by the Hillsborough River, the North River,
and the Charlottetown Harbour.
Take a
stroll along our seaside boardwalk and enjoy the breathtaking sunset from Victoria
Park. You'll find a rich history, grand festivals and celebrations, culture, sports,
fine restaurants, excellent shopping and so much more. Summerside
Summerside is PEI's second largest city, located
in the beautiful Ship to Shore Region. Because it lies on the warmer south shore,
it is said to be on the "Summer side" of the Island. Landmarks such
as Indian Point Lighthouse, unique in its design and location on the end of
a long breakwater at MacCallums Point, provide a magnificent view of the Summerside
waterfront.
Cavendish
Cavendish has become one of the most poplar tourist stops on the North American
Eastern Sea Board. The author of Anne of Green Gables, Lucy Maud Montgomery,
grew up in Cavendish and used her beloved hometown for inspiration. The landscape,
the people, and the way life progressed was all incorporated into her masterpiece.
Stratford
The Town of Stratford is located immediately southeast of Charlottetown on the
south shore of Prince Edward Island. Stratford offers world-class golfing, shopping
and sightseeing.
